At Wheat Ridge Baking Company, we believe that baked goods are close to the heart of community. Born out of a love for sharing homemade treats and scratch-made baking, our microbakery specializes in naturally leavened sourdough, seasonal baked goods, and comforting classics that feel like home. Everything we make is crafted by hand in small batches, using quality ingredients and time-honored methods that let flavor shine. We take pride in being as local as it gets, from sourcing a blend of high quality and organic ingredients-- many of which are produced right here in California-- to serving our neighbors right on our doorstep; What started as a passion project in our home kitchen has grown into a neighborhood favorite where customers know they can count on fresh, flavorful bread and sweet treats made with care. It is our mission to create homestyle baked goods with the true taste of home and whole lot of love. About the Team
The Figuerosas started their home bakery before they even finished settling into their home in Rancho Cordova. As a newly married couple in a new-to-them town, Monica and Alejandro dove right into vending at the the local Rancho Cordova Certified Farmer's Market to mingle with the townsfolk and meet their nearby neighbors. Over the weeks and months to follow, they got to know names and stories and began to lay roots in what they proudly claimed as their chosen hometown. They are always eager to smile and wave when encountering people and if you want to say hi, you'll find at least one of them running the booth at their local pop-ups or farmers' markets. Their business was built on community and connection and anyone interested is welcome to be a part of that.
